Scrum Masters assign and delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring the team's work aligns with priorities and the overall schedule and ensuring the team is fully deployed and not idle. You'll help create flexible and fully productive, self-organizing teams during sprints.
You'll be the point person responsible for understanding each sprint's big development picture while bridging the needs of different teams. As a Scrum Master, you'll work closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers. You must have a solid understanding of the reasoning and implications behind each initiative.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent knowledge of the scrum framework and its artifacts and techniques. You'll also need the ability to coordinate people and projects with your mindset on deliverables. You should be capable of overseeing project timelines and splitting up tasks so team members are not overwhelmed with too many responsibilities.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Work alongside with our Scrum Master and Team Lead to manage each project's scope and timeline
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Ensure compliance with company policies, administrative tasks, and time reporting
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
- Help teams implement changes effectively
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it
- Proven previous experience in a scrum master role
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps including a deep understanding of its features, such as backlog management, metrics tracking, and reporting.
- Skilled in managing product backlogs effectively, including creating, prioritizing, and refining backlog items, as well as ensuring that the backlog is maintained and groomed regularly.
- Familiarity with software development cycles and particularities
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as the definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement)
- Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP, etc.)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
