**Sales Data Analyst**
**Summary**
The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales data and providing insights to support decision-making and improve sales performance within TCS. The primary role is to proactively examine sales trends, patterns, and metrics to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
**Key tasks and responsibilities**
By performing these tasks, the Sales Data Analyst will support the sales and finance team, the Sr. Director of Sales, and the executive team in making informed decisions, optimizing sales strategies, and achieving revenue goals.
**Data Analysis and Visualization**:
- Collect and analyze sales data from various sources, such as CRM systems, sales reports, and customer databases. Use statistical techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and trends within the sales data. From this analysis, propose specific actions to implement and test to improve performance.
- Stitch together different data sources to uncover correlations and insights that drive business growth.
**Reporting and Performance Tracking**:
- Assess the effectiveness of sales strategies, campaigns, and initiatives.
This involves measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales revenue, profit margins, conversion rates, and customer acquisition/retention rates.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and F&A teams to report on web analytics aligned with business goals.
- Utilize historical sales data, market research, and industry trends to develop accurate sales forecasts. These forecasts help in setting sales targets, production planning, and inventory management.
- Generate automated reports timely and create/update dashboards to provide insights on acquisition, conversion, and retention performance.
**Marketing Campaign Analysis**:
- Plan, track, and analyze marketing campaigns, measure their effectiveness and impact on customer behavior, and ensure data accuracy.
**Sales Support**:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to provide analytical support in developing effective sales strategies. This may include identifying target markets, evaluating pricing strategies, and assessing competitive positioning.
**Analytics Tools and Tags Management**:
- Act as the business owner for analytics tools, including Softrip, Salesforce, SAC, Google Analytics, and any other tools the company has or will use in the future.
- Ensure the accuracy of data collection from business tools.
- Specify and recommend improvements to data collection based on business needs.
**Customer Behavior Analysis**:
- Perform website behavior and customer experience analysis to build online customer segments.
- Identify underperforming areas of the website and make recommendations for multivariate testing.
- Provide data-driven rationales for defining changes to improve website performance.
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of administrative or general office experience. Experience supporting sales and/or account management teams is very helpful but not required.
- Requires a demonstrated ability to provide administrative support to a team of people in a diverse, and fast-paced environment.
- Requires strong time management skills, and the ability to immediately surface and resolve overlapping priorities, to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and to coordinate workload and priorities independently.
- Requires a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong relationship skills; ability to work well with colleagues and coordinate projects with multiple departments
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- High touch, timely customer service
- Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce
- Positive can-do attitude
