Emerson is seeking a motivated and experienced accounting professional to join our team as a RtR Specialist I in San José Province, Escazu, Costa Rica.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Complete and process a large volume of journal entries.
Perform account reconciliations.
Follow Standard Accounting Policies & Procedures according to USGAAP.
Respond accurately to Shared Services Customers.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and work towards resolving open items.
Collaborate in the accounting closing process and carry out specific tasks on a timely manner.
Prepare and post Manual Journal Entries as requested.
Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals.
Ensure targets and expected deliverables are met according to the SLA guidelines.
Carry out a knowledge transfer process.
Identify potential areas for process improvements and highlight them to Supervisors and Continuous Improvement Team.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Participate in the reporting process of financial statements on a monthly basis.
Develop analysis and information as requested by the Business Units.

For This Role, You Will Need: Associates or BSBA degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with English & Portuguese preferred.
More than two years of experience in general accounting or Big 4 environment.
Experience in Shared Services environments is preferred.
Knowledge of (financial) administrative (accounting) processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience with Oracle/SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
Experience with Hyperion or other reporting systems is preferred.
