**KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Accountability of a globally consistent Event, Incident, Request & Problem Management set of Regional & Global activities (typically Regional during business hours and follow-the-sun support & maintenance for other world areas);
- This includes overarching Network Operations team activities on detecting, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving significant network issues, properly managing these on IT Service Management tools, and conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements.
- Involvement in Major Incident context, in particular coordination and interaction with senior IT / Business management is a key part of the role.
- Supervise and coordinate direct reports in region including performance management and operational activity.
- Help the business optimize the infrastructure, by leveraging standards, agreements, and technologies whenever possible
- Lead, motivate and coach the teams; set and review objectives; organize regular performance and improvement meetings with the Regional & Global Network Operations leaders, service owners, and other parties
- Participate in Continual Improvement / formal Service Review initiatives in cooperation with Service Owner, Design Team, Transition Team, Provisioning Team, Service Delivery Team and others, following-up on resulting Action Plans
- Follow and enforce Emerson policies and rules regarding relevant IT management, security, standards and procedures, liaise with other teams as required
- Participate in the recruitment process of new team members in region
- Contribute to the salary review process for the team in concerned region(s) Participate to annual org review for the regional Network Operations team.

**EDUCATION/LANGUAGE**
- Education to degree level or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
- Minimum 4-8 years' experience in IT of which a significant time (3+ years) leading and/or interacting daily with operational teams, preferably in a large enterprise environment relevant to Emerson
- ITIL or equivalent awareness or certification Language knowledge: fluent in business English (speaking / writing); any other languages are considered an advantage

**EXPERIENCE / SKILLS**
- The incumbents to this role will typically be existing Emerson employees having worked in IT or other technical fields in a supervisory role
- 5+ years of working experience in a highly-connected network environment, preferably in a large Enterprise/Global environment supporting LAN, WAN, wireless LAN, unified communications, firewall and data center connectivity
- Good customer service and communications skills
- Good presentation skills

Ability to occasionally travel within region or overseas
