Contributes to multiple Regional Corporate Affairs and communications projects to help AstraZeneca communicate important corporate messages to internal and external stakeholders
- Contributes to engagements with key internal or external groups, such as sales teams, external charities, government lobbyists and regulators
- Carries out research, either individually or as part of a team, into more complex areas of government legislation, regulation, managed markets or public policy
- Liaises with brand managers and other internal colleagues to explain how internal or external developments can affect their brands or areas of responsibility
- Helps brand leaders develop communications programs and strategies tied to their respective brand strategies
- Builds and participates in internal and external networks to share information in the legislative, regulatory or public policy arena and disseminate best practices internally
- May manage data information systems to keep track of external relations with various social groups or charities
- May engage with lobbyists or government or regulatory officials
- May oversee the regulatory submissions for particular product categories or brands
- May have budget management responsibilities
- May be responsible for communicating with and organizing external vendors and service providers
- Acts as a resource in one or more areas of Corporate Governance, helping managers and other colleagues resolve more complex Corporate Affairs and communication related issues
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field
- Some experience in communications or Corporate affairs at a regional level
- Understanding of new media, especially social networks
- Expertise in one or more area(s) of internal or external corporate communications
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
