**Regional Capacity Building Specialist**
**(Full time; 40 hours; San Jose, Costa Rica or Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala)**
Oikocredit International is looking for a Regional Capacity Building Specialist (40 hours) to be based in San Jose, Costa Rica or Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala.
This position will be temporary for a year, with posibilities to become permanently and will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing the implementation and profiling of CB programs which will mark Oikocredit' s differentiated offer and positioning as a social impact investor within the impact investing landscape.
The Capacity Building (CB) Unit is part of the Department of Specialized Finance and Community Building.
The CB Unit seeks to improve the livelihoods of its end clients by providing support to its partners to enhance the performance of these organizations in key areas and improve their resilience against adverse events.
As a Capacity Building Specialist will be responsible for:
- Proactively identify and respond to CB opportunities to establish priorities and develop programs in line with Oikocredit's strategy and partner needs in close cooperation with the Investment Team.
- Identify funding opportunities for CB programs and projects, and develop the proposals to present to funders in coordination with the CB Manager.
- Ensure uniform understanding and practices in planning, implementing, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of CB programs in line with Oikocredit's internal frameworks and funder requirements;

***Education and Experience**
It is essential that:
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in business in English
- Advanced academic qualifications in Economics, Business Administration, Development Economics or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience including field experience
- Experience in multi-sectoral coordination and networking with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience in preparing project proposals, project management and report writing
- Experience working with or in the impact investing sector
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency -oral and written
- in English and Spanish (LAC)
- Ability to work independently and with a great sense of responsibility
