The Record to Report Senior Analyst will be assisting in the preparation of group reporting and accounts by working with minimum supervision to follow established procedures and providing guidelines to the team members in accounting principles to maintain the organization's financial records and transactions in an accurate and timely fashion.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensures month, quarter, and year-end tasks are executed in a timely and accurate manner. Examples of activities included, but were not limited to, banks, accruals, prepayments, provisions, Rebates, and general MEC closing activities. In addition, involves playing a key part in the Lonza budget setting process and executing process analytics monthly.- Leads and coordinates month end processes and looks for ways to streamline/improve the process. Once an improvement opportunity has been identified, you will be required to take the lead on the improvement project, liaising with key internal stakeholders when required.- Takes ownership of assigned area. This involves reviewing balance sheet accounts & P&L and providing detailed analysis when required. Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities, and escalates it to key internal stakeholders.- Manage completion within deadlines for all monthly financial statements & reporting functions in accordance with Corporate Accounting processes and policies.- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, identifying, and resolving any differences within the close period. Reconciliations must be organized, accurate, and complete.- Plays a key role in both internal/external financial Audits. Ensures all financial entries have relevant and enough backup documentation, and assists Auditors as required (provide financial information, provide support when required)-
- Supports R2R Team executing flow to work when required. This could include providing day-to-day support to other functional areas within GBSO.-
- Performs other duties as assigned.Key requirements:
- Accounting Technical degree is a minimum requirement.- Advanced Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.- Advanced English language, both written and verbal.- At least 5 years of working experience with the full accounting cycle in an SSC.- Knowledge of ERP system (SAP).- Intermediate Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, sumifs).- Ideally CPI or CPA is not mandatory.
