Working within agile teams, in Costa Rica and globally, to ensure the quality of the platform continues to exceed customer expectations
**Daily Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Work and collaborate with Agile team to ensure the quality of product and for functional and technical impact analysis and identify regression scope. Undertaking manual and automated testing as necessary
- Design and develop repeatable, data-driven automated test script using Katalon Studio and API automation test scripts for products
- Maintain automated test suites to ensure they are reliable and execute on the agreed cadence
- Participating in the maintenance and versioning of test scripts, including the collaboration with other test engineers on a daily basis.
- Helping out and getting involved to define test strategy, i.e. when manual or automated testing is appropriate.
- Support execution of automated scripts, analyze the automation failures and report bugs
- Help reviewing other team members' work.
**Attributes & Skills Required**:
- Minimum 2 year experience in manual Software Testing and Automated Testing
- Experience in UI test automation using tools, for example Selenium, Web Driver or Katalon Studio
- Experience using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Fitnesse. Being able to write gluecode in Java or Groovy would be an advantage.
- Experience creating test suites that can run in continuous integration pipelines, exposure to creating/maintaining Bamboo or Jenkins would be a distinct advantage
- Ability to analyze requirements both from a testing and end user point of view to derive test scenarios and test cases
- Ability to investigate potential defects to determine the root cause and direct the code engineers to the defective component
- Highly capable in working in a team; self-motivated and can prioritize workload
- Committed to continued professional development. Will be able to describe the latest tools and techniques in the Software testing industry; will be able to describe how new tools and testing approaches are learnt
- Experience work with international teams using collaboration tools such as JIRA, BitBucket, Slack, Zoom and Confluence
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Desirable: Experience of performance testing and accessibility testing
