**Main duties & responsibilities**
- Receive and review customer purchase orders to assure conformance with the offered Emerson Terms and Conditions, Agreements and standards.
- Using the established standards, check that all information supplied in the purchase order by the customer is correct and complete.
- Act as the primary contact for the customers through different communications channels, working closely with the proposal engineer, sales team, contract negotiators and other PWS department as required.
- Manage purchase order backlog and resolve order issues and delays.
- Lead and initiate proactive communication to resolve purchase order issues or to collect missing information before the order entry stage to ensure the correct and timely order booking and delivery, and to provide a positive customer experience.
- Proactively communicate and resolve issues affecting speed and quality of orders at different stages of the order process, ensuring customers and internal departments are adequately informed.
- Maintain updated customer information in business systems and other databases.
- Identify and develop best practices for incorporation into department standards.
- Perform other duties related to Purchase Order review and processing as required
**Qualifications & education requirements**
- Education: High School diploma is required. Preferred if studying Engineering degree at least for two years.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledgeable in control and PLC/DCS will be a plus.
- At least 2 years of combined experience on the following roles:
- Customer service, planning, or project coordination experience
- Prior experience interacting with the customers and or the sales force at any capacity.
- Strong working command of the English language, at least B2 Upper Intermediate level of English is required.
- Willing to work on flexible shift schedule based on business needs
