Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific established a Global Business Services (GBS) organization for the EMEA region to provide consistent, exceptional service to its businesses.
The GBS PMO Project Manager will manage the execution of the program and ensure that critical activities get the right focus.
They will be responsible for managing the program activities and tracking critical program milestones.
The GBS PMO Project Manager is a critical role for ensuring smoothly program execution.
**Responsibilities**:
- Liaise with key program stakeholders and ensure the program implementation across workstreams and business groups
- Track & review the status of the program against the implementation plan
- Manage weekly and monthly reporting cadence and ad-hoc reports - including exec level reports & presentations
- Closely review the follow up process related to any open risks, issues, actions and decisions - own the escalate process in case if critical issues and drive to find mitigation strategies
- Conduct deep-dive risk and issue resolution sessions as required
- Facilitation recurring program meetings
- Conduct periodic project plan assessments and manage preparation of regular program working sessions - including milestone reviews to ensure readiness and quality of the projects
- Documenting and communicating the status and results of the projects
- Gathering project information and ensure clear communication of the outcome of the meeting (risks, issues, actions and decisions)
- Review project deliverables and ensuring timely completion of milestones
- Support PPM Tool Implementation and PowerBi report development & maintenance
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, PMP, etc.)

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in business analysis or project management
- Excellent project planning and management skills - hyper organized person
- Ensure that cross-functional team members understand roles and responsibilities and key deadlines are met
- The ability to influence program team members and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Excellent documentation skills
- Good MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
- Excellent presentation preparation skills using power point - suitable for exec level presentations
- Proven track record of following through on commitments.
- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills
- GBS or shared services experience a plus
