TE Connectivity's Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects.
They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations.
They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
**About the position**:
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing various engineering projects.
He/she will be responsible for bringing the projects to a successful conclusion and ensuring that each meets the goals set in terms of Opex, Capex and Timeline.
The role will provide leadership on new product introduction, product transfer or maintenance engineering projects.
This will be specifically for TE Medical products.
**Responsibilities and Qualifications**
- Lead transfer projects
- Act as the "General Manager" of the project to ensure that design requirements and contractual obligations for TE are met.
- Proactively directs project Charter details and P&L accuracy across all phases of the project
- Provide project leadership in accordance with TE's project management policies:
- Define, Scope-Out and Start the project.
Understand and identify all internal and external requirements
- Plan project work to meet objectives.
Work with functional managers to ensure resources are available.
- Creates and leads the project team.
Make sure the project team is prepared for Gate/Internecine Gate reviews.
- Execute the project plan to meet milestones, schedules, KPIs, and the Project Charter.
Proactively identify and overcome barriers and obstacles.
- Monitor and control Track, review, and regulate project progress and performance.
Proactively avoid schedule delays or budget overruns.
- Termination.
Ensure completion of all activities through the project team and stakeholders to formally close the project or phase.- Identify and actively manage the risks/responsibilities associated with the project.
- Identify and align Stakeholders with the Project Statute.
- Communicate regularly with the project team and all stakeholders.
- Provide periodic reports to senior management on the key metrics of the project portfolio under their management.
**Key competences, experience and knowledge**:
- University degree; Engineering preferably.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in Project Management.
- Desirable Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (CAPM, PMP or PgMP).
- Solid and exhaustive knowledge of specific technical tools for project management, as well as knowledge of general engineering tools.
Experienced MS Project user.
- Strong ability to set goals and motivate team members.
- Able to work within a cross-functional team to maintain the schedule and financial goals throughout a project.
- Ability to conduct projects with external organizations and clients.
- Able to execute multiple projects at the same time..
- High level of English and documentation skills.
- Proven experience in medical devices, operations management, background in metals and/or plastics is a plus.
