Core purpose of role: To work with the Program Director, sub program leaders, workstream and project leaders to implement agreed project planning, monitoring, and control processes to ensure that tracking and reporting is accurate and timely across the program.
Specific key accountabilities: The project controller/scheduler is responsible for: - Implementing the agreed project planning, scheduling, management and controlling processes - Providing challenge to the project leaders on content and approach of project plans - Reviewing and approving all project plans to ensure adherence to agreed formats and approach.
- Working with the workstream and program, project leaders identify, resolve and report on issues, risks, and changes.
- Reviewing, monitoring, and reporting on the progress and trends of projects against the agreed metrics up through to the PMO - Identifying potential risks, interdependencies and issues at project and resource level and report to workstream leaders and the Program Manager - Creating detailed projects with the project leaders and ensuring that activities integrate at a project and workstream level.
- Integrating the projects and sub programs at a level agreed, creating mid-level plans, milestone plans and base line the Master Schedule - Reporting tracking activities into designated PMO tool - Tracking of document approvals – Maintain reporting tools and ensure approvals happen as committed.
- Generating meeting minutes for the different groups as well as running reports / dashboards from the designated tracking tool Key success measures: - Consistent project planning and management approach - An integrated master schedule in place and baselined - Project controls and review processes operating effectively.
- Timely and accurate reporting against agreed metrics
