TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.**About the position**:**Responsibilities**:- Lead continuous improvement projects and properly document them in TEBIT (TE Business Improvement Tracker) to meet the periodic savings goals assigned by the company.- Lead and / or actively participate in strategic and operational plans for the manufacturing area in charge.- Delegate objectives and tasks to production leaders and operators to maintain responsibility for the results of the area.- Evaluate the performance of its personnel in charge in conjunction with the Human Resources department and provide periodic feedback, according to the indications of the company.- Maintain effective communication with other support departments to achieve the daily goals of the area.- Actively participate with the Methods department and the Core Team to continuously improve the process flow of its production area.- Lead and actively participate in the deployment and maintenance of TEOA (TE Operational Advantage) tools in their respective areas with the help of their work team.- Responsible for monitoring the on-time training of new and current collaborators, as well as their quality and performance.- Assist their superiors in the immediate Planning/Scheduling department in the scheduling and distribution of production orders (Jobs/Shop Travelers) to the Floor in a timely and efficient manner. You should be ready to anticipate when the next job/shop traveler is available and determine the most effective order to run in existing jobs.- Responsible for monitoring and recording daily staff attendance.- Responsible for supporting the preventive maintenance plan in their area of responsibility.- Responsible for assisting in the development of Production Supervisors I and/or leaders to develop their knowledge and encourage their participation in their absence.- Responsible for meeting the goals and costs of your area.- Verify that the operators/technicians in charge have the ability to solve production and assembly problems.- Develop and implement, where effective, new ideas and methods of improving productivity.- You must follow the company's safety rules and identify those areas with potential danger.- Responsible for the work team in their area of responsibility.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree, Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related career that qualifies you for the position- You must have at least 5 years of experience in a production environment.- Proven experience in transfers (desirable in Medical Industry)- You must have at least three years of supervision experience in a production environment.- Ability to maintain equipment as needed.- It requires a high degree of writing and verbal skills to communicate positively and effectively with all departments and the Management team.- English language intermediate - advanced- Knowledge of computers and programs including MS Office.**Competencies**:- Managing and Measuring Work- Motivating Others- Building Effective Teams- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation- SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
