Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
As our facility continues to aggressively increase in productivity and lower its manufacturing costs, there is a need to recruit a Production Supervisor to ensure optimum utilization of manpower and materials.
This position is responsible for the direction of assigned production resources to ensure optimum manufacturing performance with regard to minimizing cost and achieving the highest possible levels of quality and delivery in accordance with the approved business plan.
Production Supervisor will be responsible for the managing of hourly direct labor associates in the assigned manufacturing areas and shift (absenteeism and delays).
This position is also responsible for effectively managing cross-functional relationships with other departments to support effective use of manpower, materials, and equipment, as well as productivity improvement initiatives.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- A results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high-performance manufacturing environment- Proven experience in manufacturing management- Must have good attention to details, while also managing the big picture.- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deal easily with competing priorities on a daily basis.- Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement- Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities- Good written and oral communication skills- Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills- Demonstrates a strong drive for results- Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the manufacturing function with a bottom line result
Qualifications:
- 5 - 7 years' experience in a team based manufacturing environment- Strong knowledge in office package and plant planning.- Previous experience supervising people- BS degree or related discipline is preferred, with a strong foundation in business administration.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Will be required to stand, walk, and bend frequently.- Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis.
