We do it with a spirit of inclusion and trust acting as 'One VMware' to help our customers win.**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**- Within the first 30 days of employment: Familiarize yourself with key members of the team, primary cross-functional groups, high priority initiatives, and become comfortable with the operating cadence of the organization.- Within 60 days of employment: Become familiar with VMware's SD-WAN and SASE portfolio, release and launch process, and general pricing and packaging strategies.- Within 180 days of employment: Own the operational aspects and daily management of the VMware's SD-WAN and SASE SKUs. Manage and approve exception request as required. Support approval process required to launch new products.**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**- Shadow Pricing and Packaging Lead to gain a firm understanding of the processes required to launch new products and services. Take the lead on launching new products as you gain a deeper understanding of the process.- End to end testing and validation of the configuration, attributes, orderability and fulfilment of new SKUs.- Collaborate cross functionally with Product, Finance, Legal, Revenue, and Sales to recommend and seek approval for pricing and packaging proposals for new product introduction and/or new route to markets that adhere to best practices.- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of pricing and packaging implementation to accelerate the sales cycle and deliver optimal value to customers. This would include creating pricing promotions or other non-standard pricing/ordering scenarios.- Gather market and industry information to identify trends and changes to integrate into current pricing and packaging as well as influence new pricing strategies.- Provide clarification and direction to Edge Ops and internal IT teams to facilitate operationalization of new products.- Support existing products through their lifecycle as well as create EoL and migration plans.**What is the leadership like for this role?
