**Principal Responsibilities**
- Work with the requisitioner to determine the lowest total procurement cost based on functional and delivery requirements.
- Work with suppliers to correct cost and performance variance.
- Review purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and correct discrepancies.
- Issue requests for quotes (RFQ) from existing and new suppliers.
- Monitor inventory and order MRO supplies as required by the company's operations, etc.
- Provide training and perform account maintenance for user-direct purchase items.
- Issue purchase orders and assure compliance with company policy.
- Issue and maintain reoccurring supply and service purchase orders, including invoice reconciliation and approval.
- Data entry and maintenance of purchase orders, vendor profiles, and other associated files and systems.
- Maintain awareness of market conditions, provide cost, and supply analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentations as required.
- Set up new suppliers and obtain required supplier documentation.
- Maintain record retention for Purchasing Dept.

**Skills Requirements**
- ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards) and use of associated purchasing modules
- Supplier negotiation principles
- Prioritizing multiple tasks associated with multiple departments and projects
- Analytical skills, including experience in the use of Microsoft Excel functionality
- Purchasing policies and procedures
- Working in a team environment
- Excellent English verbal and written communication
- Provides direction to non-supervised support personnel
**Experience Requirements**
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including two years in a manufacturing environment.
**Education Requirements**
- Education Required: Technical Degree or Equivalent.
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
