The Principal Sourcing Analyst – Global Sourcing Center of Excellence will be a critical team member supporting major company initiatives in both technical and analytical functions.
This Analyst will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to drive key business decisions.
The ideal candidate for this position is a person with strong analytical and technical skills, an eye for process improvement, and a capacity to communicate effectively and build relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization.
This hands-on Analyst plays a central role, within our Sourcing Center of Excellence supporting indirect sourcing, direct materials sourcing, supplier diversity as well as broader corporate initiatives This role will be responsible for developing new reporting capabilities for program metrics and milestones, key performance indicators (KPI), and delivery of all recurring and targeted reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
You're Responsibilities include: Design and produce quantitative and qualitative research and develop business processes and financial models to monitor key market trends.
Synthesize key analytics in order to prepare and present concise metrics, scorecards and/or presentations with a high level of proficiency.
Provide excellent sourcing analysis, performing market, industry and supplier research; category/commodity specialization; opportunity Identification; contract analysis; auctions; and competitive bids.
Perform RFP and pricing analytics in support of supplier negotiations.
Conduct commodity / category specific performance analysis and reporting, monthly reports, cost modeling, and spend/supplier data cleanse and maintenance.
Support direct sourcing specific processes: Standard Cost, Supplier Resiliency program, macro-economic analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
Develop new reporting capabilities and process roadmaps to optimize sourcing and procurement activities.
Partner with sourcing managers to develop, monitor, and refresh annual sourcing plans and strategic approaches, as required, to ensure we meet and/or exceed our annual savings commitments.
Optimize the sourcing and procurement processes.
Benchmark best practices externally & internally and apply Lean concepts, supported by analytics, to design and implement optimally effective processes.
Conduct ad-hoc/targeted reporting as directed by stakeholder groups.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required in Business, Finance, or Information Technology 5 years' experience in reporting, working as data analyst or business analyst (experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain preferred).
Knowledge of and experience building databases and robust dashboards using database management and business intelligence platforms (SQL, Access, Alteryx, QlikView, Tableau, SAP Ariba, PowerApps etc.)
Self-starter with a high attention to detail and an ability to quickly climb the learning curve.
Proven analysis and problem-solving skills Superior communication and presentation skills (written and oral) Superior analytical skills and critical thinking, Candidate must be able to work independently with little direction while providing proper levels of communication to stakeholders and management.
Demonstrated coordination / project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Global Experience: exposure to regional and business unit management teams is a plus.
