As Program Manager, you will have a global program delivery focus; supporting site expansions program and process improvement work across all geographies and Amazon business lines.
You will implement mechanisms seeking opportunities to minimize administrative work, streamline processes and policies, drive global standardization, support new site and business type initiatives, and promote self-service adoption.
You will partner closely with business launch teams and HR process teams to enable optimal support and delivery for global new site launch initiatives.
Specifically, in this role you will be in charge of:
Program Management: Own design and delivery of large-scale new confidential global business and site type initiatives; performing hands on project management such as development of project plans, scheduling and planning, monitoring and status reporting against planned deliverables, benefits and milestones, resource and program tracking, development and management of risk, issue and action logs.
Plan, design, build, test, implement, and integrate new work into team standard site launch operations.
Mechanisms and Best Practices: Develop, improve, and maintain project management mechanisms, standards, templates and best practices in partnership with other project managers across the globe.
Collaborate to align and implement these practices at the local level, providing guidance and assistance as needed, and overseeing adoption at the global level.
Process Improvement: Design and implement processes and drive ongoing process improvements to help scale the program.
Propose new ideas, concepts, and features, providing supporting data and projected results.
Measurement and Reporting: Develop measures to define work progress and ultimate success; establish ongoing reporting and key performance indicators for measuring success.
Provide consistent and timely updates and reporting with the right data to enable decision making.
Accurately report on variances and establish earlier warning of variance.
Communication: Own key communications to leaders, project members and stakeholders on overall work progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates and various white paper analysis.
