Planning Excess & Obsolescence Manager

**_ Responsibilities:_**

Will manage group of E&O Mitigation Planners in efforts to prevent, mitigate, and close out excess inventory.
Manager will verify mitigation process is followed and completed.
Supporting planners will include resolving issues, providing guidance on excess related questions, and tracking progress.
Manager may interface will internal management and external partners to review and strategize on excess inventory mitigation and progress.
Will assist with achieving business goals related to E&O.
- Manages complex data and business analyses to develop mitigation plans and make recommendations.
- Leads efforts to develop business and financial plans that enable the execution of business strategies (e.g., implementing new growth initiatives, reducing costs).
- Directs and prioritizes important, complex business planning projects by monitoring deliverables and milestones, including developing contingencies to minimize risks and maximize success.
Contributes to priority projects with complex analyses and assists in developing recommendations.
- Influences senior management by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations for optimizing business performance.
- Works with cross-functional teams across the entire span of supply chain and operations
- Provides innovative recommendations and influences the knowledge base within area of expertise.
- Provides strong leadership, develops and monitors individual and team performance goals, and manages change.
- Ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support team efforts.
Identifies process and tool improvement opportunities to enhance mitigation activities.
Works with Business Improvement teams to define and test new tools.
- Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.
**_ Education and Experience Required:_**
- Typically 6-10 years of experience in planning and supply chain.
- First-level university degree.
- Experience in finance and/or people management as a plus, but not required.
**_ Knowledge and Skills:_**
- Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology to identify root cause.
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
- Very strong project management skills, including time and risk management, and project structuring.
- Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.
- Ability to manage human capital to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
