Bachelor Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, economics, math, statistics, finance) or related field - 3+ years of experience in an analytical role (Work Force Management, Capacity planning, Finance, Business Analysis) or related role - Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools - Experience in advanced knowledge of excel, statistical tools like SQL, Python/R - Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful.
Has sound judgment and ability to be right a lot - Thoroughly thinks through problems to come up with solutions.

Join Amazon Experience and Technology (AET) Capacity Planning team and help make a difference for all Amazonians!
The Capacity Planning team is responsible for managing the headcount planning for employees in the AET organization.

We are looking for a smart & talented problem solver to join our team who will be responsible for the capacity and staffing solutions across the globe.
This is a high impact and high visibility role where you will implement workforce methodologies & process mappings to make data driven decisions to meet the business goal's / KPI's.
You will work closely with multiple stakeholders including Operations, Expansions, Analytics, Finance etc.
You will participate in cross-functional team projects as well as contribute to change management.
Key job responsibilities
- Support capacity/headcount planning
- Provide input and thought leadership on utilizing various tools and enhancements for capacity/headcount planning
- Forecast demand to calculate headcount needs to meet customer demands and Service Levels (SLAs)
- Perform analysis of current staffing while considering forecasted volumes, upcoming attrition and training/project requirements
- Ensure headcount occupancy/utilization is measured and delivered at goal reporting
- Plan and execute ramp ups and ramp downs of headcount at various sites
- Coordinate with global delivery leads to create aggressive but realistic hiring plans and determine optimal employee mix (Amazonian vs vendor / Full-time Employee vs Contractor) and contract durations
- Develop site capacity review mechanisms to highlight roadblocks/changes in the plan along with impact on operations/finance
- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior management, including confidential and privileged information through advanced data analysis and statistical controls
- Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and dynamically lead difficult discussions by identifying and analyzing data to isolate issues
- Manage, track and report non-productive time and training requests ensuring service levels are protected and feed the information into the headcount calculation models
- Manage long-term and short-term staffing
- Build short/long term headcount plans
- Plan and manage data analyses and develop the next generation of automation tools for monitoring and measuring data quality, with associated user interfaces
- Remain flexible to changing priorities, be open to new ideas and have customer satisfaction as the top focus
