The Opportunity This position works out of our Coyol de Alajuela, Costa Rica, location in the Electrophysiology Division.
In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.As the Planner II, you'll be responsible to ensure availability of materials, services and supplies used in the Facility.
This may include quoting, purchasing, supplier management, and administrative support.
Responsible for the procurement of materials, services, and supplies used in the manufacturing of Division products.
What You'll Do Prepare and place PO's per requirements of MRP/requisitions/STOs and monitors delivery of purchases.Plan and schedule deliveries to optimize inventories and forecast in support of production schedules/business demands by working with forecasting data/teams, planning teams and shipping/receiving teams.Work with inventory management/warehouse management to resolve issues.Sourcing/quoting requirements for goods and services required to support the division objectives.Manage the entire purchasing record keeping process including PO generation and verification of invoices against PO's.Follow procedures for and manage the return of damaged goods, replacement items, or credit arrangements.Collaborate/Arrange for vendor corrective action and works with supplier to improve quality.Monitor Supplier Performance/Communicate and Take Action to Maintain High Level of Supplier Performance.Required QualificationsBachelor degree Supply Chain, Business Administration, STEM Career or related field or advanced Student at least 95% in related Business field required.2 years of experience:Materials/Procurement environment Is able to manage entire purchasing cycle from initial quoting to confirmed order receipt.Is able to identify cost savings opportunities and implement plans to realize savings.Intermediate Command of EnglishShift AdminPreferred QualificationsExperience in the medical manufacturing field or similar roles.Knowledge of ISO, GMP, JIT, ERP, SAP and Lot control desirable.
