Riverpoint Medical Costa Rica is looking to hire a **Planner.** At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. The **Planner** for Riverpoint Medical will be focused on managing customer forecasts and production schedules to efficiently satisfy customer demand. Analyzes and provides input on production plans while working with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Analyzes and reports on actual customer demand, trends, and forecasts, then adjusts capacity plans accordingly.
**Duties and Responsibilities for the position include**:
- Monitor MRP planning system to ensure components are received on time/schedule.
- Manage the acquisition, validation, and implementation of customer forecasts into ERP system to drive finite production scheduling, capacity planning, and purchasing activities.
- Establish key performance indicators to measure forecast accuracy.
- Provide input to finance on operating plans for the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
- Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand. Calculate production lead times.
- Manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling and utilize theory of constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling.
- Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting.
- Coordinate information with other functional staff, including customer service, engineering, accounting, and human resources.
- Establish reporting to determine labor and productivity performance statistics.
- Understand capacity management relationship to MRP. Work with work center input and output loading. Establish, measure, monitor, and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules.
**Education and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Operations or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience
- 3-7 years' experience in a scheduling position with extensive demonstrated success of implementing and operationalizing master schedules.
- Solid, proven organizational, project management and leadership skills.
- Change Agent - skill with enabling change, strong influencing abilities particularly with client groups and frontline teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Strong PC skills (Excel, PP, Word, Access, Minitab)
- Team player able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and/or customer service.
- Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction with growth potential beyond the role.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply chain Professional (CSCP) a plus.
- Experience utilizing spreadsheet and ERP-type software in managing the planning process.
- Experience with Delmiaworks/IQMS strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
