**Position Overview**
- The
**Human Resources **team is seeking Payroll Specialist
**Position Description**
- **Service Delivery**
- Manage payroll inputs
- Accountable for the verification of the final salary register, deductions reports, statutory reports, etc. (prepared by the vendor) and having the payouts made
- Ensure compliance with country-specific statutory requirements that impact payroll for the respective country
- Review the payroll registers and statutory reports for countries
- Ensure compensation disbursements are happening on agreed dates
- Monitor new legal changes and be alert to ensure legal compliance at the country and regional level
- Verify payroll inputs (new hire information, exiting employees' information, compensation & benefits changes, Time & Absence records) that are sent to the payroll vendor through a system generated auto feed
- Verify payroll inputs being received by local payroll vendors in countries
- Track deductions and provide these inputs to the payroll vendor.
- Manage exceptions requests in accordance with HR Services Service Level Agreements and procedures
- Ensure all pre and post-payroll verification checks are completed within the assigned deadline dates
- Send final approval of the payroll countries to finance/ payment channel to ensure employee payments are made within the required timelines
- Solve problems by analytical troubleshooting to avoid delays within the payroll cycle
- Send changes/ additions to insurance brokers, benefits providers, pension providers etc. for insurance enrolment, termination, change of personal details, etc.
- Be flexible to cover team colleagues for holidays/sickness/ peak workloads
- Provide training/mentorship to the team with the guidance of the HR payroll Supervisor
- Capacity to manage complex country (based on local legislation, headcount, frequency etc)
- **Customer Management**
- Act as a member of the HR Employee Services to provide outstanding customer service to all internal (and external) customers including any 3rd parties
- Escalate to Tier 3 (HR ES Manager) in accordance with guidelines and ensure tracking and follow through to resolution
- Deliver services (both transactional and support) from the Portfolio of Services to internal customers (managers and employees) within agreed service levels
- Educate customers to ensure, where possible, services are provided through e-channels and the HR portal
- Ensure individual development and continuous service improvement
- **Process Ownership**
- Assist in payroll related projects (standardization / automation)
- Provide variation reports per payroll cycle for reporting to Finance, Country HR, and the HR Shared Service Center leadership.
- Complete all payroll checklists associated with each payment cycle as per the required timelines ensuring all payroll deadlines are met for the countries assigned.
- Archive all payroll inputs into the share drive
- Support any payroll and Time & Absences related projects to meet project objectives set Support in-country audits, and provide country/regional payroll reports, liaising with Country/Regional Finance teams as needed
- Keep their knowledge up to date and build a strong knowledge database from which payroll specialists can work

**Position Requirements**
**Experience & Education**:
- **Experience**
- o At least 2 years of demonstrated experience of working in payroll processing and administration
- o Demonstrated working experience with country legislation employment and tax laws as they pertain to payroll processes
- o Preferred bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics/ Business/Accountancy or similar
- **Languages**
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Any other language based on regional requirements
