Payments Team Leader
(Shift pattern - Sunday to Thursday - 3pm to 10pm)
We have an exciting vacancy for a Team Leader to join our Payment Processing function at Convera!

Your role
Your role will involve the following responsibilities:
- Track and report on daily payment activity.
- Provide consistent, quality customer service to assist our branches in facilitating customer transaction processing and investigating.
- Communicate effectively with banking partners to ensure timely processing of payments.
- Work with team members in the Treasury Department to track payment flows and resolve any issues related to payments.
- Understand and follow company policies, risk and compliance processes.
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to the Payments Processing Team.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of Payments Processors and Banking Payments Investigators - as required.
- Train employees on procedures and processes.
- Act as a point of reference for escalated inquiries.
- Act as liaison with the Payments Manager to provide updates on the team's progress.
- Provide some shift coverage as necessary to support the team.
You must be able to commit to a Sunday to Thursday - 3pm to 10pm shift pattern and office working is required twice per week.
You'll also ideally have the following:
- Minimum 1 year work experience within the financial services industry.
- Minimum 1 year work experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Ability to multi task, work accurately and independently to process large volumes of payments prior to cut-off times.
- Proven ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Problem solving and decision making skills - mathematical and analytical ability preferred.
- Fluency in English (essential).
