Ocean Specialist

Ensure data input within the Cargowise1 system - for cargo from the US Station is successfully completed in order for customer and operations requirements be met or exceeded.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepares, controls and distributes all required Import/Export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.)
and then checks responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents
- Follows-up on shipment status in the Import/Export area; identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents
- Supports Customer Service in the incident and exception management resolution
- Maintains excellent relationships with suppliers
- Is responsible for identifying performance issues of suppliers, and proposes solutions to improve/correct performance
- Performs IT systems related tasks to provide up to date information on shipment
- Communicates with local US Station on issues, questions in order to resolve timely and efficiently.
**Skills / Requirements**:

- Must be fluent in English language (written and verbal communication) and able to demonstrate abilities.
- 1+ years of experience in freight forwarding industry, ocean import/export experience preferred
- Strong Understanding of Ocean Freight regulations and documents preferred.
- Cargowise system experience.
- Attention to detail and excellent oral and written skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
