Responsibilities: Ensure timely delivery of products and components to the manufacturing facility.
Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases within the budget.
Use the ERP (APS) system, Excel, and purchase requisitions to acquire materials, equipment, machinery, services, and supplies for new projects, maintaining consistency with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
Update purchase orders based on information provided by suppliers: quantities, shipping dates, and ETA.
Work closely with the project team, engineers, and other departments to understand project needs and ensure purchases align with objectives, specifications, regulations, and costs.
Keep the ERP system updated: set up new suppliers (AVL), new products, and product revisions, update material costs for local and international suppliers.
Collaborate with different areas to create bills of materials (BOM), defining the best suppliers according to price, installed capacity, quality, and delivery times.
Coordinate with Planning to maintain inventory levels consistent with production requirements and established inventory goals.
Maintain the ERP system updated for mass production materials, costs, suppliers, lead times, and price breaks.
Support Engineering with changes and updates to BOM for mass production materials.
Confirm materials to planning for new customer orders.
Regularly review performance indicators.
Maintain a record of purchase orders sent to suppliers.
Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions with suppliers.
Identify and select suitable suppliers that meet quality, cost, and time standards.
Generate and manage metrics related to procurement.
Maintain an updated database of qualified suppliers.
Collaborate with the project team to define material requirements and the allocated budget.
Provide support to different areas regarding ECO's and ECR's.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
7-9 years of experience in purchasing or procurement positions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential: Experience in the Medical, Electronics, or Automotive industries.
Essential: Experience in production, projects, engineering, planning, inventory control, and budgeting.
Essential: Experience in new projects and transfers.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
English: Advanced level.
Knowledge and management of ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or Infor.
