Network Operations Shift Lead responsibility to come up with innovative solutions to various networking problems and ensures that customer needs are properly defined and satisfactorily met.
Implements and evaluates the working of networking systems and stays abreast of new technologies emerging in the industry.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for managing and coordinating the team.
The main aim for this coordination is to ensure that the network runs efficiently without interruption for the firm.
- The Network Shift Lead must keep management informed about what is happening in the daily basis concerning the Network Platform.
- Shift Lead oversees the work of junior L1 and L1 Techs employees to ensure that system requirements have been properly implemented and procedures carefully followed.
- Responsible for informing Management, partners and peers about network performance and service availability.
- Primarily deals with the completely technical team coordinating the duty shift workflow for the Technicians and carefully allocates staff members on different shift duties for ensuring the whole Team shift works in an efficient and effective manner.
- To ensure maximum service availability and performance.
- Responsible on making sure Engineers are available on Avaya system to receive calls to continue providing the service as expected without disruptions.
- Joining to turnover call with other regions.
- Providing technical coaching/training as needed to the Team making sure our Engineers manage all necessary technologies to provide support.
**Daily Tasks**:
- Expert level troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues across all vendors (Cisco, Nexus, Arista, Juniper, F5, Citrix, Checkpoint, Palo Alto)
- Perform hardware replacements for any environment, including critical environments if needed.
- Troubleshoot software or configuration related issues for Cisco, Nexus, Arista, and Juniper devices if needed.
- Adhere to operating procedures and identify any breaches of the process in normal handling of incident tickets
- Execute network failovers for all routing protocols, especially BGP, OSP, and EIGRP if needed
- Strong ability on performing network checkouts.
- Strong ability and experience on identify and remediate major impacting events within the network and other related technologies
- Work with vendors across the technology to provide the highest possible uptime rate of network services
- Train junior team members across all platforms
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or Degree in Computer Science / Technology Engineering
- 5+ years of hands on enterprise network operations support experience
- MPLS RSTP STP HSRP VRRP VRF VTP DHCP DNS CDP LLDP ARP FTP TFTP
- Able to work well in a fast paced environment and be comfortable in stressful situations
- Can effectively communicate with both management as well as non-technical personnel on any technology issue to ensure they understand the nature of the issue and current statue easily understood on any outage conference calls
- Detail oriented self-motivated goal driven
- Strong familiarity with Cisco IOS and Nexus NX-OS
- familiarized with Juniper JUNOS and Arista EOS
- Strong understanding of OSI model and troubleshooting of technology related issues
- Strong understanding of network protocols (to include but not limited to): OSPF EIGRP BGP
- Familiarized knowledge of F5 and Citrix Netscaler load balancers
- Knowledge and experience of system and network infrastructures such as LAN and WAN network technologies, server virtualization, enterprise storage area network (SAN) and backup, enterprise performance and fault monitoring tools.
- Self-disciplined, self-motivated and the ability to organize and prioritize time effectively.
- Ability to manage and lead a team ( Operations )

- Willingness and ability to learn new products and network technologies quickly, often without the focus of formalized training.
