Job Summary:
The Network Engineer L2 is responsible for administrating and supporting client's network environments according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of network availability and performance.
Responsible for designing, developing, supporting and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure consistent network uptime, patching and performance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide L2 troubleshooting for operating system issues, hardware performance, security vulnerabilities, and other basic systems management tasks
- Resolve Complex Incident Requests for assigned clients
- Installation and configuration of new hardware (with the support of the on-site resources) and/or software
- Devise processes, methodologies, and documentation to make sure that we are providing high-quality customer support.
- Analyze logs and system performance
- Maintenance of system configuration documentation
- Identify improvements and recommendations for improving client's operating environments
- Runbook documentations and updates
- Technical coaching & developing L1 Systems engineers as needed
- Identify opportunities for automation of common activities/tasks
Skills and Experience:
**Must Haves**:
- A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in related field
- Computer Science, Engineering, IT technical degree or equivalent working experience
- English Level B2+
- Knowledge in ITIL
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
- Intermediate knowledge of data communications networking technologies, architectures, platforms and protocols.
- Intermediate knowledge of network security methods and required configurations for network devices.
- Experience in documenting infrastructure architecture and the development and documentation of runbooks and other systems operating procedures
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Participate in 24x7 on call support rotation
