**Responsibilities**
- Supervision of generator excitation system assembly.
- FAT for generator excitation system.
- Preparation of installation document, field terminal detail and cable schedule.
- Designing of Electrical Circuit Drawing for generator excitation system.
- Designing of Mechanical Layout for generator excitation system.
- Preparation for BOM for generator excitation system.
- Preparation of database, control logics and graphic for generator excitation system.
- Heat-Run Test, High-Potential Test, IR Test for generator excitation system.
- Verification, calibration and functional testing of I/O interfaces to field devices.
- On site testing for the dynamic performance of excitation control system.
- Tuning and optimization of excitation control system at start-up.
- Provide excitation control system knowledge and expertise to management, product line engineers and suppliers to accomplish assignment.
- Compliance with internal and customer safety and security requirements.
- Supervision of excitation system retrofits and installations.
- SAT & start-up of generator excitation system.
- Preparation of excitation server/workstation.
- Fostering smooth collaboration and communication with project stake holders (internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors).
**Requirements**:
- B. Tech / B.E (Electrical, EEE, I&C, E&I) is essential.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in generator excitation systems.
- Experience on designing & commissioning of Brushless & Static Excitation System.
- Experience with specifying excitation system designs to meet customer requirement.
- Experience with sizing and calculation of all power equipment and auxiliary components for generator excitation system.
- Experience with designing de-excitation circuits for large turbine generator.
- Familiar with electrical protection and synchronization process for generators.
- Familiar with IEEE standard for Excitation Systems for large turbine generators.
- Familiar with parameterization & commissioning of excitation system.
- Experience on working on high power equipment.
- Sound knowledge of all testing equipment for generator excitation system
- Familiar with configuration of switch and router.
- Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills.
- Experience working for a major excitation manufacturer (e.g. GE, Siemens, Westinghouse, ABB, Alstom, Toshiba etc.).
- Familiar with general networking concept for fast ethernet.
- Familiar with switch and router configuration.
- Proficient with graphical language for programmable logic controller design (FBD, SAMA, LD).
- Proficient with DCS/SCADA/PLC system of one or more platforms (e.g. Emerson Ovation, ABB/Bailey INFI 90, Siemens T3000, GE Mark VI, Mitsubishi DIASYS Netmation, Invensys, Woodward Micronet, etc.).
- Proficient in understanding electrical single line diagram (SLD), electrical control circuit, general arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Familiar with one designing software (e.g. AutoCAD, EPLAN Electric, SmartDraw, Solid Edge, SEE Electrical).
- Excellent language and communication skills, both verbal and written required.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and commissioning documents.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
- Ability to interface with vendors & sub-contractors.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
