**Main Purpose of Job**: (Brief Summary)
- Performs all tasks necessary to keep production equipment and molding room personnel operating in a safe, efficient manner to fulfill customer requirements, quality standards, and production goals while meshing shift capabilities and capacities with those of other shifts
Main Job Duties/Responsibilities (List most important first)
- Assign personnel to work stations
- Monitors the process on each molding machine and adjust as required in accordance with internal procedures
- Solicit help from Team members regarding equipment or personnel
- Start up and/or shut down molding machines as required
- Ensure personnel operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
- Schedules overtime if/when Senior Supervisor or Plant Manager approved
- Communicates daily with other shifts to assure continuity
- Participates in supervisors meetings, covers other supervisor's responsibilities in their absence
- Review and approve reporting of production, scrap and down-time
- Review shift payroll report, authorize payroll checks for issuance by Payroll
- Keep the organization vision and values in the forefront
- Resolve personnel conflicts, enforce work rules
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all time. Take the necessary disciplinary action when violations are identified and informed management of such action
- Provide employees with the necessary tools needed to perform their jobs
- Follow a progressive disciplinary process when subordinates are not performing as expected or when deviation from established policies and procedures are detected
- Ensure employees are properly trained in policies, procedures and process
- Monitors product quality and take corrective actions when necessary
- Establish metrics to monitor employee and line performance. Discuss results with employees on a routinely basis
- Foster a culture of compliance with all regulations
- Protect the company's property at all time
- Write employee's performance appraisal on a timely manner
Knowledge / Education
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual English-Spanish
- Robot automation system knowledge.
- Knowledge of basic mold maintenance.
- Knowledge of medical products and clean room manufacturing is a plus
Work Experience
- 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role
- 4+ years experience in setting and running Plastic Injection Molding machines, machine maintenance and material handling equipment.
