Metrology Engineer 1

**Job Title**: Metrology Engineer 1** Metrology Engineer 1****Responsibilities**- Provide support to manufacturing and design areas in development of appropriate measurement methods, including implementing of new methods, analyzing existing measurement methods, and executing training as required.- Develop and support measurement methods in compliance with quality regulations (ISO 17025, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820 GMPs).- Support additional, non-standard metrology requests as part of product development and root cause investigations.- Support in calibration tasks related to New Introduction Process (NPI), validations, etc.- Leading of CAPAs, NCRs or other activity required for compliance according to the applicable standards.- Creating and maintenance of calibration procedures and specifications.- Administration of the Equipment Event (EE) / Out of Tolerance process: Guidance and follow-up to the owners and assessment of EE opened in the lab.- Perform Test Method Validation (TMV).- Perform validation of applicable equipment / software.- Continuous improvement on measurement and testing capabilities.- Provide technical guidance and training to the Metrology / Calibration technicians.- Builds relationship to interact with other Mfg. Engineers, Technicians, and cross-functional teams.- Can fulfill all the requirements of a Metrology / Calibration Technician.**Requirements**:- ** Intermediate English Skills.**:- Bachelor's degree in ME, EE, IE, or other relevant field with 4+ years of experience in Metrology, preferably in the medical device industry.- Problem Solving.- CAPAs, NCRs or other activity required for compliance.- Process validation.- Statistical Methods.- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to create schedules, presentations, graphs and charts, etc.- Onsite**Preferred**- Minitab.- Windchill.- Design of experiments (DOE).- Lean Advanced (5s, 7 wastes, Stop and Fix, Kaizen, Kamishibai, Gemba Walks, SMED, Kanban, Visual Factory, VSM, etc.).**About Philips**We are a health technology company.
