Splunk is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join our Marketing Operations team to assist in the utilization and optimization of the team's tech stack and processes. We have an amazing opportunity to expand our team with this key role. you will tackle complex marketing questions, drive efficiencies, innovation and improve the scale and impact of our tech stack. We are looking for a person who loves data, thrives on analysis/insights and thinks critically when it comes to continually improving marketing targeting and strategy. You will work closely with teams across the enterprise, from Go-To-Marketing sales and marketing teams to IT and operations teams. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and responsibilities shift with the business.
**Role**:
As a Marketing Data Analyst on the Marketing Operations Team, you will have the opportunity to drive a wide range of projects, including:
- Supporting critical global processes for our marketing/sales teams, including things such as data acquisition and enrichment, help ticket support, routing updates and technology management/administration
- Continually look for ways to automate, optimize and simplify campaign execution, from distilling and documenting requirements, coding, QC/UAT and file output automation
- Support data discovery, research, troubleshooting and recommendations based on the evolving needs of marketing partners and your knowledge of the data available
- Develop and implement segmentation logic that aligns the right communication, at the right time, based on customer behavior, actions, and journey stage
- Drive QC processes, including test-case development, QC execution, user-acceptance testing hand-off to business partners and code remediation
**Requirements**:
- 2+ years experience with SQL queries and knowledge of database technologies.
- Solid understanding of modern B2B marketing, ideally familiar with concepts such as lead management, nurturing, demand waterfalls, martech, and governance.
- Highly skilled at time-management, detail oriented and has high standards for project delivery.
- Self-starter, passionate and curious for solving unstructured data problems and ability to manipulate and optimize large data sets.
- Process orientated, highly organized, excels at multitasking, strong documentation, coordination and project management skills
- Strong communication, problem solving skills and an ability to convey technical concepts to less technical team members
- Confidence to offer consultation to business partners and team members within Sales, Partner, Marketing Operations.
- A familiarity working with AGILE/SCRUM process management.
**Education**:
B.A. in Marketing, Technology, or related field, or equivalent years of industry experience.
