- The objective of this position is to provide daily direction to functional and business support departments including planning, quality, engineering, and purchasing that are required to effectively and efficiently run the value stream.
The Value Stream Leader works with members of the value stream and TEOA Practitioners to implement TEOA tools and drive performance.

- The Value Stream Leader is responsible for leading the manufacturing processes for a specific value stream.

- Lead a specific value stream in the production of quality Medical Products in accordance with work instructions and company policy to ensure a quality product delivered on time.
- Implement and maintain safety standards as required by law and company policy.
- Coach and provide technical expertise to resolve processing issues and create corrective actions with appropriate follow through plans.
- Create a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards.
- Manage employee performance through effective coaching and evaluation, skill and behavioral training, development, and goal setting.
Responsibilities include hiring authority and ability to initiate discipline.
- Participate on the management team and perform other duties as required.
- Insure the appropriate level of accountability for facility goals and objectives at the vale stream, process leader, and line lead levels.
- Plan and monitor capacity maximization for a specific value stream.
- Monitor and take appropriate improvement actions to meet production quality and quantity.
- Utilize problem solving techniques, teamwork building strategies, process control, and continuous process improvement tools to meet or exceed the facility key operating metrics.
- Develop, monitor and implement department budgets and production forecast.
- Facilitate team process leader workflow management, workforce scheduling, and ream members' placement to ensure the facility and company goals are successfully met or exceeded.
- Develops, analyses, and presents monthly reports, including but not limited to, forecast, productivity and safety.
- Assign, control and monitor required recourses to achieve established schedules.
- Conduct, lead or implement the appropriate containment, corrective, and preventive actions, leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming products root causes.
- Maintain adherence to company polices, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Foster an atmosphere of employee involvement and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
- Review manufacturing methods and develop product/process/system strategies to meet company objectives for quality, cost, responsiveness and growth.
- Support new manufacturing methods based on optimizing processes new technology and continuous improvement activities.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or necessary education for position development**:
- BA in Business or Operations related field, or BS in Engineering, or equivalent operational experience.
- Knowledge of Operations Management and contemporary manufacturing/quality methods and systems.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
- Lean, Six Sigma, TPS, or DMAIC experience is strongly desirable.

**Experience required for the position**:
- Minimum 4 years experience in Manufacturing Operations with demonstrated mechanical or electrical design skills.
- Minimum 4 years supervisory experience.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with computer based Manufacturing Information System.
- Experience with Inventory Management/Control system.
- Must have good working knowledge of MRP II planning and execution concepts.
- Must have knowledge of Total Quality Control and Just In Time manufacturing principles.
