**Your Role and Responsibilities**
We are seeking to hire an ML Engineer to join our growing team!
This is a hands-on technical role where you will spend most of your time designing, coding, and implementing ML solutions to intent and understanding problems, along with ongoing evaluation of model performance both in isolation as well as using results from production use cases.
As Data Engineer, you will develop, maintain, evaluate and test data solutions.
Demonstrates an understanding of Machine Learning concepts and techniques in order to solve a business problem.
The individual is able to interpret exploratory statistics and identify appropriate features and machine learning algorithms to use.
In addition, the earner is able to use suitable metrics to understand an algorithm's performance and effectively communicate those results.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Investigate and experiment with new model architectures to improve existing ML models, training pipelines, and run-time inference performance
- Expand the scope and capabilities of our models to enable multilingual use cases
- Creatively balance the demands of production-level software engineering with exploratory research and development
- Design, build, optimize and support new and existing data models and data flows based on our clients' business requirements.
- Build, deploy and manage data infrastructure that can adequately handle the needs of a rapidly growing data driven organization.
- Develop quality controls, data cleansing, and transformations required to deliver desired datasets according to each use case.
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Hands-on experience with ML model deployment and inference in a production environment.
- Demonstrated success working in large distributed teams to solve novel technical challenges
- Strong Communication skills in English & Spanish
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience with Python or Scala is required.
Background in programming in C, C++, Java is beneficial.
Exposure to both streaming and non-streaming analytics Experience with SQL, Spark, Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, Statsmodels, Stan, pymc3, Caret, Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, Pytorch, Databricks is beneficial.
- Experience working with large data sets, simulation/optimisation and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, Arena, etc.)
