Huntsman is searching for a Logistics Payables Analyst for our growing business based out of Heredia.
Responsible for any payment activity associated with Performance Products (HPP) Logistics and Supply Chain Payables. This role will own the operational relationship between our third-party logistics freight processors and will resolve any discrepancies and work toward their resolution. Resolution can/will involve multiple parties that will require the Freight Payable analyst to coordinate with, such as HPP Logistics Operations, carriers, third party logistics processing entities, and Huntsman Corporate Sourcing Team for logistics. The role will entail two main functions:
- Operational invoicing resolution
- Analysis & Process Improvement
In summary, as the Logistics Payables Analyst, you will be:
Invoice Resolution - Using our 3rd party logistics processing entities and platforms to resolve any variances or discrepancies so that invoices can be processed and move on to the next steps in the Source to Pay process. Understanding the problem for why an invoice has a discrepancy and is on hold will be key in identifying corrective and preventive actions.
Invoice Redistributor - The Logistics Payable Analyst will also serve as gatekeep to incoming service purchase orders where Performance Products Supply Chain is responsible for covering. Our 3rd Party Accounts Payable partner will assign all applicable invoices to the Logistics Payable Analyst, and the analyst will redistribute out to the appropriate supply chain individual who is handling that operation/product line/location.
Invoice Receipts Processor (Backup) - In cases where primary individuals who perform invoice receipts are not available, or in the event temporary gaps in proper coverage, the Logistics Payables Analyst will be primary back up as they will have ownership of all areas with Performance Products AMERs.
Payables Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Develop and maintain pertaining metrics and KPIs on the logistics payables process to ensure proper oversight of the invoice flow and payment process. Work with the different parties as Huntsman Accounts Payable and third-party invoice processors (e.g., Uber Freight, Broussard and Genpact, among others) to develop proper controls on invoice flow, invoice aging, first-pass yield, and other metrics.
Education
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or Receivable and/or related accounting clerk roles.
- Analytical skills to recognize and highlight areas for improvement.
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Language: English and Spanish - written and spoken proficiency.
- Experience in SAP Sales & Distribution module (preferred)
