Position Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Managing a Team of Supply Chain professionals ensuring effective and efficient logistics function while delivering on Quality, Cost, Availability and Sustainability objectives of Supply Chain.
- Ensuring an inclusive work environment, developing employees, setting priorities for the team, managing performance, and getting results across boundaries.
- Partner with Supply Chain corporate staff on selecting carriers, lanes and negotiating contracts and rates.
- Strategically plan and manage logistics functions to guaranty customer service level (material at point of use).
- Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
- Identify, lead and implement logistics productivity projects.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, and regulations.
- Lead to drive continuous improvement culture.
- Demonstrated strategic mindset to engage leadership both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities - gathering, interpreting, and acting upon data.
- Demonstrated experience "running own show" to drive results in operational efficiencies and service improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills with internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Teamwork across multiple internal teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver to committed schedules.
- Results orientation skills to work in an ambiguous environment and translate early ideas into engagement / decisions.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- People management, with constructive and productive coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to manage complex material flows and internal teams.
- Knowledge or prior experience as it relates to data / information exchange throughout supply chain network.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Attention to detail.
- ERP / WMS experience.
Education and Experience
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration or related field of study.
- Specialty in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in highly regulated industry with progressive responsibilities in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Six Sigma / Lean certification preferred.
- Fully bilingual English-Spanish
