Logistics Assistant

**Location**:Cartago, Costa Rica, CR**Job Family**: Supply & Logistics**Country/Region**: Costa RicaWe are looking for a Logistics Assistant responsible to manage specialized customs clearance activities related to Free Trade Zone companies in our Cartago Site. Import and export activities are coordinated by this position and has to develop and work with a vast network of stakeholders (i.e. custom brokers, shipping companies, planners, receiving subsidiaries, among others).Tasks & responsibilitiesCustomsClose import transits in TICA system and ensure that documentation is correct.Open export transits in TICA systema and ensure that documentation is correct.Import activitiesKeep updated import/export records.Keep updated control shared files with all the required information.Shipping activitiesSupport with invoicing shipment process in the system.Update the system with new/changed ETAs.Responsible to review and create reports that are relevant for the correct follow up.Responsible to send pre-alerts with shipping documents/arrival information to Coloplast customers.Coordinate the shipment for small packages/shipments to different destinations.Coordinate the customs clearance process for local DUAs.Alusta - invoice handlingCoding and Acceptance of invoices related to freight forwarders and/or custom brokers.Support for Finance for discrepancies**Qualifications**:Advanced student or Recent graduate from Customs Administration, Foreign Trade or relatedKnowledge of merceology, rules of origin and customs valueManufacturing environment related experience is a plusExperience in medical devices company is a plus**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:Knowledge of customs software (TICA/Delvia/VAN) is a plus.Analytical mindsetProactive attitudeOutstanding coordination activitiesPursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
