Team Overview and Job responsibilities
The Costa Rica logistics team, based in Heredia that is in charge of the shipping and warehousing operation is looking for a motivated and talented Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for all aspects of the dispatch cycle. The Logistics Specialist will work closely with the logistics supervisor and other cross-functional departments.
Main responsibilities
- Monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of equipment and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
- Generate the daily shipment plan looking to achieve the monthly volume and on time delivery goals.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse preparation of sales orders and execute billing processes.
- Analysis, follow-up and resolution of the customer claims.
Who are we looking for?
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced student in industrial engineering, business administration or related field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in logistics processes; invoicing experience is preferred.
- Transportation planning processes experience is preferred.
- Availability for rotating schedules.
- Intermediate to advanced English (preferred).
- Dispatch claims administration is preferred.
- SAP experience is preferred.
