**Job Overview**:
A Lead System Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction and framework for an organization's systems architecture. This position involves a blend of strategic planning, innovative design, and technical oversight to ensure that the company's IT infrastructure aligns with its overall business goals. The Lead System Architect is responsible for developing and implementing high-level design plans, guiding the evolution of technical standards, and ensuring the scalability and security of system architectures. With a focus on optimizing system performance and reliability, this role demands a proactive approach to integrating new technologies, managing system upgrades, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to support the organization's technological advancement and operational efficiency.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead the architectural governance process, setting standards and policies for system design and development.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to drive system improvements and ensure technological advancement.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into system architectural designs.
- Oversee the implementation of architectural designs, ensuring compliance with architectural principles and standards.
- Mentor and guide technical teams in the development and integration of IT systems, promoting best practices in design and development.
- Conduct system performance analysis, optimization, and scalability assessments to ensure the efficiency and reliability of IT architectures.
- Manage risks associated with IT architectures, including cybersecurity threats and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

**Preferred Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in system architecture, design, and development, with a track record of leading large-scale IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns, including microservices, serverless architecture, and cloud-native solutions.
- Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and software development frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and implementing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework) and cloud technologies are highly desirable.
