Work Flexibility: Hybrid?Job description:Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.
The accounting lead is a key member of the RTR Team, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
The person in this role is responsible for being the first escalation point of contact for internal and external customers and tracking, evaluating, and correcting the operational performance of RTR team.What you will do:Act as a Subject Matter Expert for General accounting-related processes, to provide guidance and develop technical skills & knowledge of other junior analysts.Perform and/or review and approve Journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements as assigned.Identify and lead opportunities to improve, automate, simplify, or standardize processes; creates projects to execute on those opportunities.Coordinate closing and other key deliverables assigned by Supervisor and supports ad-hoc tasks and requests as needed.Build monitor and report operational metrics to Supervisor and Management on a regular basis.Assess training requirements for new/ or existing team members.Ensures documentation of processes and procedures are properly updated and approved.Responsible to execute assigned SOX controls and other activities related to internal and external audit requirements.Work closely with markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries in a timely manner by escalating to Supervisor as required.What you need:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeProficiency in the English language (B2)Computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly ExcelERP System (SAP, Oracle or QAD)4-5 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systemsExperience of working in a shared service center across a global /large organization will be an added advantageAbility to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-taskEffective problem-solving skillsTravel Percentage: 10%
