Citi Enterprise Command Center (Mainframe Operations) provides the first line operations monitoring as well as advance support services that enable Citi's core Mainframe operation infrastructure to operate 24/7/365.
Citi has one if not the largest Mainframe deployment in the world all in support of the core
financial functions and services to our global customers.
We provide the critical technical monitoring and oversight foundation for Citi's operations through the infrastructure tools in place to focus on Time to Repair - Time to Resume Service.
We do this by working as one-team to deliver high quality, reliable striving for excellence in all we do.
This modern infrastructure technology in place requires individuals with focus, understanding of the environments, skills and deep knowledge of the Z IBM platform.
We are relentlessly pursuing nothing but the best collectively to ensure Citi continuous operations flawlessly.
It's an environment that requires individuals that perform well under pressure and have the ability to communicate technically and to the business partners in ways to establish presence and leadership while coordinating the quickest path to resuming service.
This position is an integral part Enterprise Command Center units like, Network and Voice Services, Distributed Services, End User Services among others.
**Role Description**:
The Operations Manager for the L1-L2 Mainframe support owns the technical performance of the team members, their constant training and exposure to the latest Z IBM Mainframe technology, owns the
future improvements within its scope.
Will be involved in advanced infrastructure build, problem management, and service improvement as needed to constantly find improvements opportunities and efficiencies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead, evaluate, provide resources and drive a team towards realistic goals.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of how Technology Infrastructure integrates within the overall technology function to achieve business goals.
- Representation and voice of Enterprise Command Center Mainframe during troubleshooting and recovery of major problems.
- Managing team in compliance to local human resources law and regulations.
- Taking initiative during new technology onboarding and current technology enhancements.
- Identification and implementation of potential areas of improvement within our process, technology or team coordination.
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated 6-10 years of experience leading teams of technologists, preferably in a
- comparable technology or financial institutions organization on the Z platform-Mainframe for
- complex configurations and operations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly in high stress situations.
- Open and willing to learning and sharing your knowledge with the team and helping them achieve their goals and upskill constantly.
- Have to enjoy collaborating and working as part of a cross discipline team in difficult conversation and challenging personalities.
- You need to demonstrate cases where you continuously were looking for ways to improve operations and succeeded..
- Good solid understanding the importance of prioritization of your work.
- Providing a great experience for your team and your internal customers is important to you.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
