TAX: Prepares the company's federal, state, and local tax returns by examining accounts and records and computing tax returns according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations.
Prepares claims for tax refunds, maintains tax records, prepares routine and special tax reports, represents company during tax audits, and advises management regarding business, internal programs, and activities as they relate to tax matters.
LICENSING/CUSTOMS: Ensure compliance to U. S. Customs regulations, U. S. Export regulations, State Department Regulations, and Foreign Customs/Trade Regulations, while maximizing benefits and minimizing liabilities.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of classification tables for Customs and Licensing purposes to facilitate the shipment of company product or equipment across national boundaries. Interacts with Product Divisions to obtain necessary information to make appropriate Customs and Licensing classification determinations for Company Product, equipment and material. Also responsible for supervising the processing and settlement of U. S. Customs penalties and claims and negotiating with the Customs department on Standard Industry Classifications for product. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or any related fields
- 5+ years of work experience and in tax related experience.
- Advanced English level.
