**Your Role and Responsibilities**
The IBM Aspera Team is looking for people interested in developing a career in a great environment providing support to our Webapps Developers, working with Aspera Products on Development tickets & L3 support.
Responsibilities include product development for our Webapps Software as well as providing technical support assistance to our clients.
This will allow you to create and communicate clear action-plans and give directions to L2 Support engineers, driving to resolution of customer issues, using IBM support tools and processes.
You will also work on creating patches and hot fixes in collaboration with other developers in the WebApps team.
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Knowledge in software Development in at least one dynamic scripting language (Ruby, Python, PHP)
- Knowledge of RESTful web service principles, design, implementation
- Understanding of container technologies, Kubernetes, Cloud skills
- Basic Scripting skills, such as Unix shell, Windows batch, Perl
- Basic skills in database server (MySQL) and optimizing SQL queries
- Basic Troubleshooting skills
- English language skills including read, write and speak
- Knowledge of Linux

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, SMTP, LDAP, ICMP, Tcpdump or Wireshark, etc.)
- Authentication & Authorization workflows and frameworks (SAML, OAUTH2, Active Directories/LDAP, Single Sign-On, Identity providers)
- Passion for modern architecture and design principles;
- Enjoy working in an Agile development environment and taking initiatives in improving systems for the sake of your teammates and our users.
