Working closely with our architects you will not only be responsible for the implementation of new policies, standards and programs but also for investigating security incidents as a part of the Security Incident Response Process.Currently, either office work from Cartago, Costa Rica or remote work from home (any location) is available.About the jobSOC Specialist will actively participate in the daily coordination and remediation of all security incidents in the organization. With proper monitoring tools, you will be responsible for the forensic part and reporting security events. You will be responsible for performing analysis of the security events, breaches, and vulnerabilities, as well as you will be part of the incident response team, actively responding to the threats.**Responsibilities**:Monitoring, investigating, and reporting of security related eventsPerforming analysis and investigation of the security eventsPreparing and introducing response for the security incidentsMonitoring and responding to alerts within the information technology infrastructureEnsuring that end-users adhere to Information Technology policies, standards, and best practicesSupporting Coloplast in meeting all security standards for internal or external auditsPerforming daily audits of firewall(s), log management, intrusion detection systems, and content filtering controlsParticipating in various tasks, projects, internal and external auditsProviding quick updates of security incidents to the Operations management team as well as Major Incident Manager and Information Security Manager (where applicable)Shaping the processes around security and incident response**Requirements**:At least Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information ScienceHigh tech knowledge and experience in IT security are requiredGood knowledge of IT security standards and frameworks**Following certificates are preferred**:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor),GIAC/CISM/CCIE/CCNA,Other specialized security certification.Knowledge of Unix and Windows systemsKnowledge of network and routing protocolsProficiency in Microsoft and Cisco technologiesStrong English skills, written and spokenAbility to clearly define problems, collect data, establish facts and bring conclusionsStrong and independentCreative and open mindsetAbility to successfully work with different culturesStructured and systematicCompetenciesVisible and decisiveOpen and honest feedbackSetting high ambitionsEnsuring policies and standards are metProactive and takes ownershipStrong coordination skillsService minded - ability to provide "that little extra"We OfferChallenging tasks and growth opportunities in a motivating work environmentGaining experience in an international organizationInternal trainingsOpportunity to use and develop foreign languages in daily workDevelopment possibilities/internal transfers within the organizationFantastic work atmosphere full of respect and partnershipThat's not all!
