**Junior Operational Buyer**
The Junior Operational Buyer is responsible for managing procurement tasks in support of Procurement and Procurement internal customers, reporting, operational processes, and procedures.
This role will execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks to support Latin America and NI Corporate employees.
The position requires flexibility and organizational skills to understand and prioritize the daily tasks to ensure the most optimal outcome.
This person will perform submission of Purchase Orders to a global supply base, communicating with those suppliers regarding Procurement requirements, invoice, and PO reconciliation, while fostering positive collaborative relationships.
The buyer will be required to resolve issues and conflicts related to quality, cost, delivery, timely payments, and compliance to NI standards.
As Indirect Procurement is growing into a Global organization, Buyer may interact and/or work in projects with Strategic Buyers or Category Managers from different geographic regions, besides interacting with other organizations, thus the person needs to show strong networking and teamwork skills.
**Responsibilities**
- Timely and accurate Purchase Order execution and PO maintenance
- Executing simple reports on a timely manner
- Resolving billing issues with the help of Accounts Payable
- Execute the Supplier On Boarding Process
Train and educate NI AMER employees on Procure-to-pay processes
Assist AMER suppliers with general Procure-to-pay questions
- Perform monthly ordering and billing reconciliations
- Continuously seek ways to improve, automate, or enhance existing assigned tasks
- Support a Procurement strategy for assigned categories
- Manage supplier relationships in alignment with Category Managers and key stakeholders
- Effectively collaborate with category stakeholders and managers on projects and tasks
- Proactively manage key contractual dates and contract terms
- Understand spend details for assigned categories
- Hold business discussions or business reviews in alignment with Category Managers and stakeholders
- Identify risks and opportunities in all aspects of the job
- Support supplier performance by driving corrective actions and issues to closure
- Negotiate written agreements and commercial deals
- Create and manage requests for information from suppliers (proposals and/or quotes - RFI, RFP, RFQ) for assigned categories
- Understand industry trends and challenges for assigned categories
- Convert requisitions into purchase orders (POs) for assigned categories and manage those POs to closure
- Resolve invoicing and payment issues related to assigned categories
**Requirements**:
- Currently studying or recently graduated from Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, or related fields
- Problem solving skills
- Advanced English communication skills (BELT B2) - verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and quickly switch context
- Intermediate MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members, internal customers
- Ability to exercise good judgment when making decisions, aligned with the company values
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Oracle ERP experience is a plus, but not required
