The Junior Credit Analyst's primary responsibilities include participating in the process to evaluate credit and financial data related to new and existing customers, and to make critical recommendations regarding credit and customer viability risk. The incumbent must have the ability to understand and evaluate customer financial information and ratings agency data to recommend credit limits and acceptable security as dictated by credit analysis. This will be accomplished by adhering to and following defined credit and risk policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Director, Credit & Risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize World Fuel Services credit risk tools, including auto decisioning to participate in the process to review and recommend credit limits, security, etc. to Business General Aviation, Commercial Aviation, and other customers.
- Ensure compliance with WFS Credit & Risk policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Credit Team partners to ensure that credit decisions are consistent with WFS corporate risk tolerance levels.
- Perform other ad hoc duties and special projects as needed.
Key Skills:
- Moderate computer/software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Solid business judgement including a good grasp of techniques to analyze and make decisions based upon credit rating agency reporting and customer financial information.
- Strong customer service mentality.
- Excellent collaboration skills along with ability to understand and work within the expectations of shareholders.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and work independently with limited supervision.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelors in finance, accounting, business administration, business management, or economics preferred.
- Advanced English
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements (income statement and balance sheet)
- 1 to 3 years financial analysis experience
- 1 to 3 years credit and financial analysis experience, preferably within the B2B energy sector
- A strong background in accounting for aviation or fuel logistics and operations can be used in place of limited credit experience.
