JR Associate Asset Accounting
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with project managers and engineers throughout the capital investment process to drive timely project closures and ensure a properly stated Asset Under Construction balance for capital projects of 5 million EUR or less.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure complete and accurate asset master data is received to capitalize assets for capital projects of 5 million EUR or less.
Provide technical guidance on capital vs. expense and other Bayer accounting policies.
Manage asset master data and asset lifecycle changes, such as retirements, transfers, etc. for all tangible assets.
Complete reconciliations and roll-forward to support the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting of Bayer's tangible and intangible fixed assets, including leases.
Collaborate with the CoE and GPO to identify and resolve issues (for example – SAP posting, system and enablers) timely.
Create and review evidence to comply with internal controls.
Plan, coordinate and execute the annual fixed asset physical inventory.
Support the overall AM closing process together with the SSO Organization.
Manage Fixed Assets Leases (IFRS16).
WHO YOU ARE
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field of study.
• Accounting, Finance or related field up to 1-2 years' experience.
• English oral and written communication skills, (Mandatory) any other language is beneficial. (Desired)
• Advance Excel (Mandatory)
• Team-Player, Analytical, proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow-up. (Mandatory)
• Excellent decision-making and organizational skills (Mandatory)
• Able to cope with high pressure & tight deadlines. (Mandatory)
• High customer orientation.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
