Position Summary
The IT Solution Lead - Build and Release Engineering will drive IT Environment planning and Release Management across a broad spectrum of 3M's IT initiatives, manage source code repositories, build pipelines and automated test execution.
Resolve issues that affect software release scope, risk, and quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain IT Environment matrix.
Facilitate environments for various business initiatives / product releases and act as a SME for various Builds and Deployments.
- Assist in Product Release Planning that includes Capacity, Cutover, Code management, Infrastructure / Dev Ops services.
- Research and standardize IT code / configuration management, deployment processes and tools across a broad spectrum of Application areas.
- Facilitate annual IT Continuity (ITCP) / DR planning and Tabletop exercises.
- Partner with IT Solution Partners on Product Roadmaps and compliance initiatives related but not limited to SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years in IT Environment Planning and Release Management.
- Expertise in Software engineering, tools engineering and/or configuration management.
Experience Desired
- Experience working in Healthcare or Lifesciences domain.
- Prior expertise in IT System Administration.
- Experience in facilitating GRC (Governance, Risk & Controls) in one or more of the following: SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS.
- ITIL Foundations or other operational framework certification a plus.
Education and Training Required
- Bachelor's Degree required, CS, MIS, or related field highly preferred.
Primary Skills:
- IT Environment Planning / Release Management.
- Experience with Linux, Command Line and Scripting.
- Experience with Jenkins, Maven, and other CI/CD tools
- Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or any other monitoring tools/process.
- Cloud (AWS) deployments, Container-based deployments and migration.
Additional Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong program management skills to drive cutovers.
- Self-starter, strong ability to drive to tasks to completion independently.
- Ability to improve and maintain new and existing processes.
