Summary of Role
- Emerson IT Services span a variety of businesses, sites, and user base count, going from small sales offices to large manufacturing and engineering facilities, serving globally 60,000+ users and 500+ sites.
Specific Responsibilities
- General _
- Promote efficiency in all working practices
- Collaborate with the On-Premises Server & Storage Service Owner and any relevant IT organizations to improve the global service
- Follow and enforce Emerson policies and rules regarding relevant IT management, security, standards, and procedures, and liaise with other teams when required
- Maintain the required level of skills to meet excepted level of service
- Provisioning _
- Ensure optimized provisioning timeline and task coordination for the On-Premises Server & Storage service rollout, eliminating project management complexity for local IT teams
- Be responsible for resource capacity, closely work with the Server & Storage Provisioning Manager and with the NALA Server & Storage Operation Manager, escalate any issue
- Lead the regular project calls, animate the project team, and manage any conflict that could impact the success of the project
- Produce and communicate the associated minutes to right audience, highlighting clear actions, main decisions, and potential risk for the project
- Manage the global communication during the project lifecycle, be the bridge between the stakeholders and the Provisioning organisation
- Closely collaborate with the Onboarding organization and escalate any deviation to the planning
- Contribute to the specific Server & Storage Provisioning processes definition and improvement plan
- Make sure that the sufficient Server & Storage Provisioning metrics reports are accurate
- Make sure that agreed levels for Server & Storage Provisioning KPI's are reached
- Participate to the necessary documentation and procedures definition and maintenance
- Be the actor of the CSI process to improve the current Server & Storage Provisioning service, features, and associated tools
Education / Qualification Requirements of the Role
- Education _
- Education to degree level or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical environment of which a time or project management role was performed, preferably in a large enterprise environment
- ITIL or equivalent awareness or certification
- Language knowledge: fluent in business English (speaking / writing); any other languages are considered an advantage
- Qualifications _
- 3-10 years global experience
- Management of medium to highly complex projects
- PMI or equivalent certifications
