Ip And Optical Network Project Book Engineer

Job Description
- Prepare detailed technical drawings showing equipment layout and fiber connections.
- Drawings based on Network Planning files provided by Sales Engineering team.
- Interface with Sales and Sales Engineering Teams for high and low level design information.
- Run simulations on Network Planner tool to verify design and design changes.
- Liaison with customers, Support Engineering and Sales Engineering teams on project designs.

**Requirements**:

- Background in project book design and Visio preferred.
- Proficiency using Excel.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience or familiarity with the functionality of optical DWDM, SONET/SDH, Layer-2/3 Packet Transport, and IP/MPLS network equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, project planning, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Network Management Systems and/or OSS management a plus.
- Familiarity with Unix and Linux based operating systems a plus.
